FYP2 Over and some thoughts

Finally....

So fast, just a second, and everything's over...

No more burden for FYP2...

Just 2 more weeks of lesson and that's it..

I wonder how and what will my life be after I graduate from Republic Polytechnic..

Sometimes, lots of thoughts just gush through my mind...

Sometimes, I just don't know how to express it in words...

Sometimes, I just don't know why I feel so emo after watching certain shows or movies..

After watching Little Nonya's final episode, I feel so emo that I couldn't concentrate on doing anything (especially FYP), and the whole night, all I have done was just think until I fall asleep.. Reason being is not for the war and killing part, but it's the part whereby they talk about their family trees, their ancestors, grandparents, etc, which makes me really ............................. and when I think back of the times that I spent with my grandparents when my family visited them, all these has became a past... Haiz...

Another one is Red Cliff 2 which I watched yesterday. No doubt the show is really nice and deserve a 4 or 5 star rating, but yet again, don't know why when I watch all the war show/movies, I just feel very emo.. I keep thinking and thinking and thinking, thinking of a lot of things and at times always feel like asking some questions... I just don't know why, when it comes to watching movies, I will tend to be very emotional and I do feel scared, joy of laughter, sad, and tend to laugh or cry (especially cry) more easily.. I can say that so far till now, all the movies by Jack Neo never fail to make me cry before, or at least, feel so touched that tears just drop down my cheeks..

Few days back, when I happened to view photos of Hong Kong night scenery shots, it really brings me a kind of feeling that is indescrible.. It just add more colours and vibrant into my life, and I just feel so disgusted when I look at all the night scenery photos of Singapore... It's like throwing my face down when I look at all the Singapore ones..

And not to mention, the public transport service level that is being brought to their fellow commuters.. Singapore ones is just like a piece of junk and shit when compared to Hong Kong ones.. and in a few years time when I start to work, I will make plans of buying a car and probably rely lesser on the 'very unreliable' SBS Transit and SMRT bus and train services. (especially bus). The thing that I cannot tolerate the most is when commuters CANNOT BOARD THE LAST BUS of the day/night for a particular service (especially SMRT Bus Service 190). This service (190) has gone from good (old SBS and TIBS days) to bad and worst (when SMRT took over TIBS) and right now it's HOPELESS until it has becoming 1 of the bus services that I most DESPISE of... =.="

Another 2 SMRT Bus service that I am most DESIPSE of is Service 169 and 902... No doubt it's a point-to-point service from Woodlands Regional Int to Republic Polytechnic in the morning, everytime when I take Service 903 (another much better alternative route). Service 902 is because of what I called the "Hello Kitty" queue. Service 169 is because of the irritating SMRT staff (especially Tay Chin Tian) who "hug" the front door when the bus (Service 169 ones) is ALMOST full (not totally full), and don't allow anymore people to squeeze in through..

One fine day and night I shall do stunts to Service 169 before I graduate, and one fine night I shall do another stunt (more severe and serious this time) on Service 190 at 1 of the 2 most sensitive bus stop (i.e. opposite Far East Plaza bus stop, outside Thong Teck Building), and I will make sure the last bus driver and SMRT management die until 10 times jia liak, even to the extent of calling the police down by the driver.. And I will make sure SMRT kena fine 10 times jia liak like a few million dollars also and hopefully allow SBS Transit to control back Service 190 and improve their fleets..

Wondering if next Thursday should I go for the Student Forum II about Transport Issues since I complete my CE points long time ago.. But if I go, I may or will shoot/feedback them until quite jia liak also... Singapore is indeed a first class city with THIRD class public transportation..

Some more thoughts in my mind...

My Year 2009 resolution and goals.. When am I going to finish thinking and writing it, and making sure that I achieve it..

Lots of commitments coming along the way too... I really need to better manage my time...

In terms of my expenses wise, I also gotta better manage it...
Priorities: Tithes, Arise and Build 2008 (building funds), planning of having chalet for my 21st Birthday..

But firstly, I must find a job, at least to substain my income till the day of my NS Enlistment...

In terms of a lot of areas, I really need to improve it, and I will never be satisfied of who I am and what I am right, because I believe in doing and achieving things from glory to glory..

Okay that's all for now... Have other stuffs going on and indeed I am quite a busy man... =D

Cya guys around... Take care and God bless! ^_^

So immediately after that, I took 963 transfer 106 down to the accident site (a few metres away before Clementi MRT bus stop towards city).

Let the photos do the talking! Enjoy!!~

Just a BIG LIE to share from SMRT Buses...

WHAT BUGS ME

Posted on 19 Sep, 2008 16:44
Bus takes 91 mins because picture taken before service starts, says SMRT

SMRT has reponded to a STOMPer's queries on a bus service, which, according to the digital timetable at the bus stop, was scheduled to take 91 minutes to arrive at the Clarke Quay station.

In their response, an SMRT spokesperson says:

"I refer to the STOMP post on the arrival time of Service 61 displayed at the bus stop outside Clarke Quay Station (3 September).

"Service 61 has an average frequency of between 7 and 11 minutes from 5.30am to 8.30am on weekdays.

"Based on the information provided and from our investigation, this photograph of the real-time bus arrival information display at the bus stop outside Clarke Quay Station was likely to have been taken at about 5am.

"The real-time bus arrival information then would show 91 minutes as Service 61 begins operation from Bukit Batok Interchange at 5.30am and would reach the bus stop outside Clarke Quay Station at about 6.30am.

We would appreciate if STOMP could share this (they forget to add in the word "LIE" also?) with its audience."

What a BIG LIE from SMRT!!! 5am and there are so many other SBST bus services at Clarke Quay?? I didn't know about that man!! Since when SBST has buses that downroute or pass by at Clarke Quay MRT Station (Central Mall) bus stop at like say.... 5am?!?!?

I just don't want to comment anything else... SMRT just loves to talk big cock and tell lots of lies... Now I know that whatever their slogan or tagline that they have, are also a bunch of LIES.... Well done SMRT! Keep it up!! Continuing to LIE more to their fellow commuters out there yeah? =.="

Asia Conference 2008 ad on SBST buses

Well... Asia Conference 2008 is coming up, and probably this is the 1st time my church (CHC) go and advertise it on public buses.. What a good start for it! Last week I saw a few, but never caught it because of my grandma's wake, that's why I told myself that I would wait till last Monday and then here I go all out to snap every buses with that ad.. This is probably the 1st time also, that I am so enthu in going after every single of SBST buses with that ad.. Till now, there are 13 buses with that advertisment (full bodied ad somemore). They are:
* denotes buses that does crossover to another service
Orange denotes buses which I have photos of it.
Green denotes buses which I have yet to chase after for its photo.

Really want to thank God and my bus enthusiast friends for all the surprises that came our timely without me expecting it and all the timings + spottings that has done by my fellow bus enthusiast friends.. Shall let the photos do the talking..

Featuring SBS8067G.. (Hougang Depot - Service 64 permerant bus)

Quite obvious that this background is from Expo Hall 8 ba... (CHC members you should know!)

Not obvious enough? This is a close-up shot! The red LED lyrics board with the time is quite obvious enough liao... Lolx..

Needless to say which verse is that ba? Lolx.. Quite a famous verse in the bible..

The rest are all up here!

Back to blogging again..

Okay back to blogging here again... 1st time pon lesson just to chase after buses. This time is not some ordinary buses horz... It's the brand new Mercedes Benz OC500LE, Southeast Asia's 1st Euro 5 bus. It is wheelchair friendly...

SMB1H on Service 190:

During the SMRT Go Green Campaign @ NUS Cultural Centre:

Okay enough of the buses... Come back to my own life..

It has been quite some time since I last attended my poly's CCC LM (live meeting). Although I seem to be a pretty new member inside there, I hope that I can be able to talk to the people there more in time to come as I get to know them better.. On my way back home, I also get to understand more about my Financial Accounting's faciliator better through Jacob's sharing session with me, and his high expectations for the daily grades as well.. After he told me about it, I was feeling very blessed that I have him as my faciliator for this module because as a Assistant Director of CIE, he only teaches 1 class per semester, and he's really the one who will motivates us in my class to really do well for this module. He's 1 of the best faciliator that ever facilate my class so far throughout my poly life and I cannot afford to disappoint him.. =)

Come to think of it, my personal desire is to be a teacher/faciliator when I grow up, because I have a passion for teaching, but my current accumulated GPA (year 1 and 2) is 2.61, which is very bad, all thanks to programming in Year 2, my GPA became like that.. For this year, since the modules I taking, focus more on business/marketing side, I really have faith and trust that I will be able to excel well and eventually push up my GPA to at least 3...

Random feeling and thoughts keep coming into my mind, but sometimes I just don't know how to express it in words... Hmmm... I think I shall stop here for now and to continue to do my quiet time in National Library... Cheers to everyone who read my blog and God bless! ^_^

4:47 PM

Long time no post..

Greetings to all..

Quite a long time since my last post liao... These days, it has been quite tired for me, although I may seem to be a bit slack because my FYP meeting is no longer very intense liao..

I shall make this blog entry a more casual one... In the sense the topics that I going to say are all sort of random, rather than already thought of what to post about..

These days, that peacock in that SMRT North Bridge Rd HQ building (SPH in short) has been messed up with its redeployment of buses again, but this time, it seems to me that it somehow bring back the glory days of Bt Panjang Interchange with the Scanias (both Strider and ELBOs) back on Service 75, 700 and 970 although it's no longer WLDEP (Woodlands Depot) dominated liao..

Yesterday, while I boarded TIB1090R on Service 169 (TIB868X's slot) and stood on the exit door steps as usual, it seem to me that the STUPID door sensor can actually detect even for the usual step that I stood (count 2 steps from the bottom). The situation for a lot of SMRT bus services is way too jia liak until I couldn't stand it anymore and I just chop any place that is not occupied.. This is how SMRT commuters trying to GO GREEN with SMRT...

And talking about Woodlands Regional Interchange(WRI), the SMRT staff that I dislike the most is a guy by the name of "Tay Chin Tian". Everytime when he guard Service 169 berth in the morning, my face already turned quite "black", especially last Monday when everything is screwed up for me...

The story goes like this:
I waited for Service 187/963/966 at the usual bus stop at the usual timing (around 7:45am). Just because 4 stupid Service 190/190A buses (3 bendies and 1 rigid) jam up the bus stop area (not only bus jam, but human jam too, because there are a lot of people who cannot board it, and trying very hard to squeeze through it, hence a lot of time is wasted). End up I reached WRI a bit late then usual, and I rushed (by brisk walk, not run) to Service 169 berth and saw TIB978L picking up passengers.. In the end, I am the 2nd person in the queue that couldn't able to board, all thanks to that Tay Chin Tian, who won't even let a few more people to squeeze through... Having a very pissed off face of mine, I dashed off from the queue and went to the taxi stand to take a cab down to school, because for this day module (Financial Accounting), I can't afford to be late even by a single second because this is the module that I can score quite a fair bit of As to help to push up my lousy GPA..

Ok enough of this whinning, lets talk about the new SMRT Mercedes Benz OC500LE WAB (Wheelchair Accessible Bus). Few days ago, some of my bus enthusiast friends told me that 1 of them has been registered liao... Rego is SMB1H..

What a weird rego man... Some of the comments made by both my bus enthusiast friends and myself about this rego:

1. SMB = SumMon Bus (this bus always tio summon one)
2. SMB1H = got Small, Medium, and Big one (1), How ah? (this one is by myself.. Lolx..)
3. SMB = Super Mario Brothers (a very classic and old time favourite game) =D

More creative negative ideas coming up from the fellow bus enthusiasts... Shall not talk about it..

One last thing before I end off this blog post, yesterday a relief facilitator took over my class for 1 of the module (I shall not name it out to protect her identity), and somemore she's the module chair for this module according to some of my unlucky friends who kena her as their facilitator.. Don't wish to say anything much over here, but really it has been quite a long time (for months) ever since I last wrote this kind of RJ to facilitator liao.. Usually this kind of RJ I will only write when my whole class classmates super buay tahan him/her... For this case it's a she..

Question:
Quantify your level contribution in class (not team) today. What strategies did you adopt in contributing actively to class discussion today?

Answer:
My level contribution in class is very low. In fact, I find that most of us in the class here also have a low contribution as well. I can boldly say that my level contribution level is ZERO.

Firstly, the 1st impression that you gave all of us when you stepped into our class is very bad. It is so bad that I ever thought of going off halfway after 1st meeting, and coming back to school again for the Marketing UT later on in the afternoon.

Secondly, your voice projection in class seems to us that you are really talking to the thin air or the wall. You are truly indeed talking to yourself, and expecting all of us in the classroom to be able to hear you talking where I don't even bother to hear whatever you mentioned actually.

Ok... 2 points are enough to express my anger out because of the poor attitude that you portray to us right from the start where you stepped into our class. It is so disappointing for me to find out that you are actually the module chair for this module, and yet you show very good example to the classes that you have taught them. Well done... Continue this any further and promise me, your current/future students will seriously have an even good impressions, and don't ever regret if any of your students actually complained about you facilitating their class.

As what I have mentioned in the 1st paragraph, since my level contribution for today's lesson is ZERO, I do not even need to adopt any strategies in contributing actively to class discussion. Thankfully that you only facilitated us for this very unlucky day, and you can give me a very bad grade for this problem for all you care, because with you facilitating us, I seriously don't deserve any GOOD grades from you. Period.

Okay.. That's all for now and it's time for me to go off for dinner and meet up with my bus enthusiasts cell group later at Tampines liao... Take care guys and God bless.. ^_^

Amazing Bus Fans Race June 2008

What a wonderful event for all the bus enthusiasts who participate in this race yesterday...

1st time organizing for such a more major type of activity for my fellow bus enthusiasts here.. Main objective is to allow them to have fun in this race and also to foster bonding & understanding among one another..

As the organizer for this race, first of all I would like to thank all my organizing team (Ben, XY, Terence). They have put in a lot of effort in assisting me and contributing interesting ideas for this race.. We have actually spend quite a lot of money for this race including the printing cost (which is about $33 in total) and all the vouchers that we have given out for the winning team, and also out of my own expenses, I went to VivoMart to buy some stuffs for everyone to eat after the race.. Though it is quite a lot of money spent, but we (at least for me myself) find it worthwhile to spend on.. To be able to bless every single participants and my organizing team + 2 helpers (Alan and Wen Jun) with all I can provide is a pleasure for me.. ^_^

On my organizing team members' behalf, I would like to thank every single participants here to really come all the way to Youth Park early in the morning (8:30am) just to enjoy this race with passion and enthusiasm.. Without you guys coming, this race definitely won't be a success.. Hope you guys really enjoy this race a lot and if the response is very positive, we may be having another round in the coming December school holidays..

Won't actually say a very long story here... Trying to cut my post as SHORT as possible (which I have always failed to do so in this point..)..

Here goes the "SHORT" story.. (Putting in point form should look shorter perhaps?)
After prize presentation, the whole lot of us (except some who needs to leave earlier) went over to Seah Im Food Centre for dinner and off service back home after that...

Once again, thanks to all who came for this race, be it participant, helpers or organizing team for making this a big success.. Definitely there are room for improvements, and will try to improve as much as possible for the 2nd round in December 2008..

Lord, I thank You for making this race a success. Whatever prayers that we have prayed for for this amazing bus fan race, You have answered every single one of them. You have blessed all of us with good weather, strength and protection throughout this race, and the participant show a lot of enthusiasm and passion for this race, even to the extent that they wish to have another round for this coming December school holiday. Lord, thank You also for being able to testify my faith, love and the passion for serving them throughout this race, Your Holy Spirit allow me to show my care and concern to the participating teams, by closing 1 eye and trying to show them their way to my checkpoint at Ten Mile Junction over the phone without any demerit points. Lord, I believe that in future, You will be able to bring me up to the next level, to be able to serve the people in the whole big family of bus enthusiast community, with confidence, with love and care, and faith.. Throughout this race, I did not worry about the weather, although it may seem to a bit negative in the morning, because I believe in Your Word, that we should live by faith and not by sight. I know that though You and Your precious only son, Jesus who have sacrificed himself 2000 years ago on the cross for all of us here, all things are possible through all the prayers that we have prayed for. Thank you Lord for having such a great blessing for us and to be able to touch the people here in a special way. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.... ^_^

Our life is lived by faith. We do not live by what we see in front of us.

10:00 AM

After a long hiatus...

... for not taking bus photos for a long time (about 3-6 months), I finally have a whole free afternoon for me to take bus photos and some night scenery shots at night...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Same number on Same Service:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Buses with RP ad are just a bunch of STALKERS to me... Everywhere I go, buses with RP ad will follow me.. Even for cameos, it won't let me off also!!

TIB516L on Service 77: (Permerant depot & service of this bus: KJDEP 189)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How about the Duty-Unpaid cigarettes advertisement?

TIB610Y on Service 700: (Permerant depot & service of this bus: KJDEP 67)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How about a Nikon D300 ad as well?

TIB668G on Service 171:

=========================================================
How about going back to the good old nostalgic days? (Featuring some memorable cameo shots)

TIB1001Z never failed to cameo on Service 700A during the December season for the past 2 years... And now it becomes a nostalgic because this service is no longer controlled by Woodlands Depot, and that Kranji Depot was quite stingy in dumping bendies on Service 700A for weekends..

December 2007:

December 2006:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TIB595H on Service 700/700A. Although it used to be perm under Woodlands Depot, ever since after 23th March 2008's massive redeployment, this bus on this service has became a history...

This is after the accident at Whitley Rd when this became the 2nd rigid bus to be fitted with new LAWO EDS which is Orange in color, after TIB484U..

Tempted for night shot since it looks nice with orange EDS on a night..

When it cameo on Service 75: (this is also a history as this service is also controlled by Kranji Depot liao)

When it got changed to Tiger Airway ads..

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How can we forget the elite bendies on Service 700?

As this service does not have perm Volgren bendies during its glory Woodlands Depot days, this photo is also nostalgic liao...

TIB1178Y on Service 700: (Permerant depot & service: WLDEP 169)

TIB1182J on Service 700: (Permerant depot & service: WLDEP 963)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nissan Diesel (or UDs in short) on those "not supposed to get the super old bus" services... Nostalgic isn't it? Anyway these UDs are due to scrap by this year end when the new Euro 5 Mercedes Benz OC500LE arrive..

CSS183U on Service 966: (Permerant depot & service: WLDEP 980/SP?)

CSS193R on Service 75: (Permerant depot & service: WLDEP 852)
This bus on this service has also became a history because of a change in depot control of this service to Kranji Depot

CSS190Z on Service 187: (Already deregistered/scrapped to date)
The 1st and the last time I saw and snapped this bus on any service.. I guess not many bus enthusiasts saw this bus during its SMRT Buses days..

How can we forget the 2 joker UDs on a TOWN service? Somemore it's SMRT's best frequency, top cashcow service!!

CSS179H on Service 190: (Permerant depot & service: KJDEP 975)

CSS180C on Service 190: (Permerant depot & service: KJDEP 975)

By the way, these 2 buses happened on the very same day...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How about an current BNDEP bus on ex-AMDEP service?

SBS2754X on Service 186: (Used to be AMDEP spare bus)

Earlier on (a few weeks/months before the top photo one), it cameo on the same service but on a faithful Friday and it hit the jackpot of sole Service 186/400 night crossover.... (I guess I am the only one who got Mk 4 bus photo on Service 400? Somemore it's crossover to Service 400 for 2 trips IIRC, not on Service 400 the whole day)

The top cameo of this post goes to......

SBS2754X on Service 400: (Used to be AMDEP spare bus)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How about cute little bus cameoing on other services other than its permerant service, 42 and 92..?

SBS8018Z on Service 58: (Permerant depot & service: BNDEP 42)
Top speed of close to 90km/h at night along a deserted long stretch road when it's heading towards Pasir Ris!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How about the sole bendy bus with new Hanover orange EDS cameoing on other service?

TIB1034D on Service 184: (Permerant depot & service: KJDEP 190)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How about the sole Hino Volgren demonstrator bus cameoing on other service?

TIB905Y on Service 975: (Permerant depot & service: KJDEP 941)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How about a current BNDEP Volvo B10TL aka VSO on an ex-BRBP service?

SBS9812R on Service 157: (Current permerant depot & service: BNDEP 14)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How about a Volvo B10TL aka VSO on a service which does not exist anymore?

SBS9803S on Service C2: (Current permerant depot & service: AMDEP 133)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The glory days with TIBS livery...

TIB835R on Service 920: (Current permerant depot & service: WLDEP 852)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Service 921... Will always be remembered.......

TIB663U on Service 921: (Current permerant depot & service: WLDEP 167)

TIB638T on Service 921: (Ex-permerant depot & service: WLDEP 921)
Taken on the last day of this service using 12m bus before it switched to mini busplus buses. Eventually this service was withdrawn and Service 700/700A was amended to cover up for the lost of Service 921 with the new Petir Rd extension being opened.. This bus is currently permerant on Service 922, which is well known for its 30 mins frequency thanks to the Bt Panjang LRT...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's all for the super long post... Lolx... Hope you enjoy viewing my past and present collections.. =D

2nd Bus Enthusiasts outing

Shall take some time to blog about it first before I went to sleep... 1st I really wish to thank all those who turned up today.. Without all of your presence, this thing won't turn out to be a successful one.. 2nd thing I wish to thank, is XY for organizing this activity and made this a successful and smooth one.. Not to forgot to thank God also, for everything that I (and probably XY & Ben also) had prayed for this activity..

Really, I feel very touched and happy that we as fellow bus enthusiasts can come together and bond together as 1 big family... This is the way that that we want it to be (at least for XY, Ben and myself). Previously, there were some issues and conflicts between the seniors and the juniors, and for now, through these kind of bonding and gathering, we really hope that all these conflicts and negative issues will minimize.

Quote from XY in SG Forums as I am quite lazy to describe everything here.. Lolx...:

First of all, some of us have lunch together at Kovan Area. After that we have Ice Breaker by introducing each other followed by the mini Amazing Race.

After that, we took Sv 119 followed by Sv 132 to Hougang Int
Took Sv 72 to Tampines Int
Followed by Sv 27/MRT to Changi Airport
Dinner at Popeye's Fast Food Restaurant(Terminal 1)
with interactions...

Bidded farewell by taking different bus services from Changi Airport T1

Next of the event, will be the coming big-scale Amazing Race which will involves running all over Singapore for checkpoints, and as the upcoming organizer for this event, I will do to my utmost best to run this whole event smoothly and successfully, with the help of all of you guys here.. Every month, we will organize activities for our fellow bus enthusiasts friends to come and bond together as 1 big family, and between XY, Ben, and myself, the 3 of us will rotate the role of being the organizer and the sub-organizers for our upcoming activities...

Shall post the photos before I end off this post... (All photos credited to Afiq, lazy to put captions and not in order)

Take care everyone and God bless!~

SMRT Go-Green Campaign @ NUS Cultural Centre

Went over there yesterday since it's on a Wednesday and Wednesday I have no classes other than FYP meeting in the afternoon... Shall let the photos do the talking from here...

Arrival of SMRT CEO, Saw Phiak Hwa, with a warm greeting from her "hello" when she walked past us..

Token of appreciate from SMRT CEO to the Guest of Honour.. I would say that it's very creative for her to use a plant for that instead of the normal plaque... Lolx..

The rear EDS so small for who to see? Lolx...

The very low bumper integrated with the small headlight. What happens if the bumper suffered from any damaged? The headlight also affected..
