Finally.. Got a job for Data Entry / Home Typist

Praise the LORD! My prayer has been answered...

All my efforts that I have done this morning have not gone to waste..

Mocca is indeed very useful... And now, I can just simply work from home, provided I have made my training material payment which I will do so tomorrow..

It's great for me to try out various kinds of job in various industries.. Do it while I am still young =)

Don't know what to classify: Tampines Biz-Hub, erection of tray + handle insertion
Packaging type in factory: Teckwah
Food & Beverages: Cafe Cartel @ Junction 8 (worst experience!)
Network Marketing/Multi-level Marketing: Venture Era
Stock checking in warehouse: Sony Electronics @ Jurong
Supermarket: FairPrice NTUC @ Bt Panjang Plaza

After Feburary ends, it's yet another level, another part of my working life, and after March ends, it's another part of my schooling life (as in the year which is the MOST stressful).. I have already sacrifice the time that I have spent on martial arts training.. 1st is on weekends for cell group and service, now is for weekdays which is for my work and FYPs.. I really hope that all the sacrifices that I have chosen to make, will eventually not gone to waste.. I want to make it worth the sacrifices.. Now, I even cut down a lot of my time on cruising around Singapore and snapping bus photos or do spotting, which I really want to focus on the life that I really want.. All the recent cameos I don't even have the time to go and specially rush down to snap photos, such as the demonstrator of Volvo Super Olympian (VSO), SBS9888Y on Service 157, and Volvo B10M Mk 4 (with WA Strider bodywork), SBS2629A on Service 86.. It's not that I do NOT have anymore interest in snapping bus photos as what some bus enthusiasts may think of.. I believe, God doesn't want to see me being so obsessed with bus, and all the temptations that cause me to sacrifice my time when I have more important matters to settle.. Once in a while, it's okay to seize the temptation to go and snap photos, when it's really in my way (as in not really necessary to go all the way to the East side just to snap that bus photo when I stay at the North-Western side of Singapore)..

As for my appearances/attire, I will also start to change bit by bit, for the better... Because I know, change is constant for me, and I need to constantly change myself for the better, in all areas of my life, from appearance to character to my spiritual walk of life with God..

Come this week end, I shall get the belt that I have ordered at Far East Plaza, and next month, I gonna get my own blazer, which I really wanted to have it since like donkey years ago.. (okay lar, about 1-2 years ago)

This Friday I will go back to Expo Hall 1 to help out in the arrangement of chairs, provided if I am really free on that day (hope so) ^_^

Screw up the Singpost people!

So sickening.. It's all because of them saying that all the trays that we have did, have blocked their way somehow in 1 way or another... Fine... Now, it's not because we don't want to do, as what P.C told us, it's those Singpost people... For the past 2 days, I have been slacking and wasting my time.. So sianz.. Who knows whether for the next few days before this Friday ends, what will really happen..

P.C did told me that there is another part-time job similar to this one that we are currently doing, that's for the month of March, at somewhere in Woodlands..

So, for the whole of this late morning, I was searching for any freelance or part-time job that is suitable for me... And finally, I found one which requires me to e-mail to the advertiser of the job for more information and to apply for it.. Pray hard that the person will reply me ASAP and with positive answers..

Launching of my own Podcast..

As I mentioned for the podcast thingy, I have finally found a website where I can upload my own podcast, and most likely starting from next week, I will start to do some some stunts (other than just writing down the regos, services, and the situations). Next week onwards, I shall start to initiate the interaction/interviewing of random SMRT regular passengers..

These few bus stops shall be my targeted spot to do my interactions:
More to come along as SMRT keep making their service from bad to worst and HOPELESS!

Wasted $$ on xD card and firewire cable, just to find out that...

My laptop either kena virus or some other problem... Don't wish to explain in detail about this thing, but I just feel that I have wasted $38 on a 1GB xD-card and $29 on this stupid firewire cable..

Next week if I am free, I shall go back to RP IT helpdesk to reformat my laptop..

Sad or happy to say.. I still find Vista reliable than XP, although Vista can be laggy..

Bye to Windows XP
Hello to Windows Vista once again =D..

Tiring but good experience..

For once, I got the experience of shifting the chairs and everything from Expo Hall 8 to Hall 1 because of some events going on and since the premises don't belong to ours, we have to follow whatever the Expo management people said..

Why I say it's good experience is because I get the opportunity to pray with 2 of the brothers in the ushering ministry who serve in the Delta zone as well during the prayer meeting while serving.. I just feel that my prayers isn't that fluent enough yet, will say till halfway and then stop for a while and then continue again.. Perhaps my spiritual level isn't really there yet, and I shall really pray that God will bring my spiritual level to the next level one day, and the day shall come to past.. It's only a matter of time..

Why I say it's tiring because I have to report to Expo Hall 8 as early as 7:30am for serving (usher), and after the service, there was not enough time for me to go and have lunch, because our churchwide prayer meeting starts at 1:30pm, and I was serving as well.. Right after the prayer meeting, I went to help out in the shifting of chairs and everything from 3pm to 4:30pm (actually it was till 7pm for the 1st shift people) because I meeting friends at town area later on, and also my stomach was feeling quite unwell, hence I told my team leader and I went off.

Found out to reach around there too early, I went to the Library@Esplanade to spend my quiet time there with the nice evening/night scenery view at the sofa area, reading the word of God and praying (in a very very soft voice because down there is super quiet).

Met Wei Chuen and Terence after that for dinner at Funan I.T Mall and talk cock sing song for a while before we made our way back home.. Terence shared about the chaotic situation SMRT has screwed up at the Singapore Airshow 2008 and I was like *()#$%^&*( away... Surprisingly, not much people take Service 190 or 960 at night and hence couldn't do much stunt down there at my favourite "stunning" stop at Whitley Rd..

Coming back to the usher thingy, I still feel that I am somehow very stoned and whenever I reach the logistics area for reporting, I feel somehow lost.. Although it's only the 2nd time I serving, I still feel that this is not the way to go on... Before and after cell meeting, I also felt a bit stoned.. Just somehow I feel that the spiritual life for me isn't there, or it's very weak.. Before I go out for lunch and work, I will say this prayer:

"Dear Lord, i lift up my hands to You, as i come before You right now, i pray for supernatural strength, in the areas of spiritual and physical, as i know that my spiritual growth isn't going well. Lord, i pray for healing, pray that i will not get any sickness especially in the area of the job i am currently doing. Even though my job ends this coming week end, Lord, i really pray that nothing bad will happen to me.. Lord, i also want to pray for the anointing, pray for holy spirit, as You enter into my life, Lord, that You will be able to lead my life, provide me with direction, guide me along and i don't want to feel so lost, feel stoned anymore. In Jesus name i pray... Amen.."

Alsred's birthday

Went to meet up with Shiyang and the birthday boy after my work via Express 518.. After that took Service 143 and walked all the way to a Japanese hotel by the name of "Miramah Hotel". There's a japanese restaurant inside and we ate the buffet set... From 7pm++ to 9pm++.. Very nice indeed and a 1st timer there too..

After that went to buy some cans of beer and we found a place to sit (somewhere further down the Gallery Hotel which I went there 2 years ago with W26L friends for clubbing..) and drink..Played a game and chit chat for a while before we made our way to Central Mall and Alsred took train whereas Shiyang took the new Scania bus on Service 63 and me on this overflowing Service 190 bendy.. The bus which I took didn't turn out to be too overcrowded, but when Fridays to Sundays come, GG for SMRT.. Wahaha.. Tomorrow and Friday I may make a trip down to my favourite spot, Whitley Rd bus stop, to do some stunt again.. Haha..

Had a bad day but good night (not goodnight go and sleep ah..) =)

W64Rs, cya soon this coming March in the chalet! Take care everyone!

iJournalist Episode 8, about bus fans in Singapore..

Friends, if you keep asking why am I not inside the show, here's the very good answer from 1 of my more matured bus enthusiast friend, Kok Pern:

http://kpbuses865.blogspot.com/2008/02/20-february-2008.html

Don't want to say anything much, but it's just such a disgrace with all the kiddies/kiddos in the 1st part of the show, especially the infamous Hong Kong guy, Yuen Shen Ngai aka SGEMP in sgForums.. I really ROFL away from the start that he started to talk.. And I keep shaking my head during the 1st part of the show.. Thankfully, the 3rd part of the show, the seniors did a very good job in it.. I appreciate the seniors' effort a lot!

Quiet time..

These few weeks, since the start of the work, I find that I have been neglecting my quiet time.. Ask myself, why is this so? And all the sermons and books that my friends had passed me, I haven even touch any single one of them.. Why is this so also? Even the bible study with Raymond/Quan Han, also keep dragging here and there.. Why is this so also? ** Pondering.. **

The 3rd question I can understand because of the hectic schedule that all of us have.. But 1st and 2nd question? Hmmm... ** Pondering.. **

Decisions..

Well... Due to my busy and hectic schedule, I have decided to go with the following permanent decisions..
  1. Sunday's Wushu training I will NOT go anymore due to church service (and for the fact that I am serving in the Usher ministry)
  2. Saturday's TKD training I will NOT go also due to cell group meeting every Saturday
  3. Wednesday's Wushu adult class I will NOT go also due to the upcoming stressful FYPs and work for now..
  4. NO more updating of my bus fotopic gallery until further notice. (So, Mr TWS, please stop bugging me for that for goodness sake!!)
  5. Cut down the amount of time spent on buses.. (as in taking photos and joyride)
  6. Lesser laptop gaming unless going to LAN shop and play DOTA..
  7. Not all major joyride with my bus enthusiast friends I will attend it..
  8. Events that I haven blog for more than 2 months, shall not be blog anymore.. If you want to know more about it, just ask me in person..
This is my final decision for Year 2008 and no correspondence shall be entertained... Period.

SMRT bus services Podcast?

Yeah... I already feel the urge to start to initiate this podcast, and then on a weekly or daily basis, I will initiate the "interview" with some passengers waiting for their bus at the bus stop and allow them to voice out all their unhappiness that they have with SMRT bus services, especially the frequency for Service 190, 700/700A and 960.. Blardy freak.. I will make sure I will make this podcast KNOWN to SMRT and make them blardy WAKE UP their FREAKING idea..

And moreover, now they want to "kay kiang" and charter their buses for the Airshow 2008 at Singapore Expo.. Well done lo.. I shall see how passengers suffer given the already freaking bad frequency and the fact that passengers have to see a few buses just zoom past the bus stop without stopping to pick up any passengers.. WTH man... For the sake of mankind, I MUST make this podcast a SUCCESS!! Fooking hell!

Working..

Damn sai kang and sianz part-time job... Me, together with Yan Hui and his soccer friends, Gary and Zhen Hao (people usually called him as "H"), work from the 2nd week of this month till end of this month.. Last Tuesday was Gary's last day because his JC term has already started..

This job, got good got bad... Oh ya haven mentioned what was the work about... We have to use the cupboards that are ready-made to erect to a tray for the books (for the NLB) and the insertion of the handles.. We got paid 7 cents per cupboard + handle erected and inserted, and we have to finish over 50,000 by the end of this month, together with the malay couple..

This morning, we were rather pissed off by the last minute decision that was told to shift the whole thing from 1 end to another end, and we really screwed the head manager for SingPost (as they are the ones who managed the place to sort out all the NLB books) upside down.. In the end they were willing to compensate us with the rate of $10 per hour for moving the boxes to another place.. And after that, we still quarreled with the manager over some issues.. In the end, we won the argument..

I don't wish to say anything much about this job.. Can be very demoralizing like this morning when I had the frustrated kind of expression in me..

It's like every morning when I ride on Service 700 (be it TIB1062Y or TIB977P's time slot), I feel very motivated because I can already feel the "office environment" in the bus based on the dress code that they have.. But when I walked in from the bus stop opposite SAFRA Tampines (Tampines Ave 1) to the Tampines Biz Hub building, I kinda feel quite demoralized because all the while I don't have the chance to be a office boy.. Why is it this way? Haiz..

That's why I respect my Service 700 bendies the most and I won't want to do anything funny inside the bus itself... The rest of the services I can do all sort of stunt especially when the bus is overcrowded.. And whenever the WLDEP business-class bendy aka my favourite SMRT bus (bendies) TIB1062Y cameo on Service 960 (especially on Sundays whereby Service 700A doesn't have any bendies except some special occasions), I feel very heartpain about it.. (You should know the reason for it)

And hence my MSN nick...

Screw up the ex-Metro CEO, Mdm Saw Piak Hwa..

Before I even want to blog about my work or my past few months' event, the ever 1st word I want to say it out from my mouth is....

IDIOT!!

No offense, but this is what I want to say 1st about SMRT...

Last week I wrote this to ST Forum, hoping that it will publish but turned out it reject my letter due to the same old excuse of 70 letters per day they received.. -_-"

Subject title: SMRT Buses should allow commuters to board from the exit doors

Letter goes this way:

As a regular commuter of Service 190 and 960, I experience a very long waiting time to be able to board the bus of the abovementioned 2 services back to Choa Chu Kang and Woodlands from Whitley Rd at night time (after 9pm). It is not because it took a long time for the buses to arrive, but the fact that almost every single bus that pass by the bus stop along Whitley Rd is fully packed with commuters and it does make the commuters waiting at that bus stop feeling very frustrated.

From what I noticed, for Fridays and Saturdays, even the last bus of Service 190 towards Choa Chu Kang is fully packed with commuters by the time it reached Far East Plaza, hence the remaining commuters who were not able to board the last bus, have to take NR3 instead which will cost them a lot more money in terms of bus fare, and I seriously think that these commuters should not deserve the fare of a NR service.

I can understand that sometimes it is because some inconsiderate commuters do not move to the rear to allow more commuters to board. In this case, SMRT Buses should seriously consider to allow commuters to board from the exit door instead if they wanted to maximising their profit to the maximum.

Nevertheless, the majority problem still came from the deployment and the frequency of these services. While SMRT Buses focus a lot of maximising their profit to the fullest, I really hope that this will not neglected their frequency and hence cause a lot of frustrations among the regular commuters of these service.

In the end, this is the typical excuse I got from ST Forum:

Thank you for writing to us. We do appreciate your making the effort.

We receive up to 70 letters each day. Limited space means we can publish only about a dozen every weekday.
This means having to make often-difficult editorial judgments on which letters to publish.

We regret we are unable to publish your letter.

If your letter relates to a matter under the purview of a government department, you may want to visit
www.sgdi.gov.sg for a list of officials to contact.

Yours sincerely

Ms ___________
for Forum Editor
The Straits Times

Just what on earth does the ex-Metro CEO, Mdm Saw Piak Hwa screwing around with SMRT Buses? and even Trains too... What the hell..

This is what I put as my signature in z8 bus forum... -_-"

Direction: Towards Choa Chu Kang Int
Next bus that will pick up passengers: Arriving
Subsequent bus that will pick up passengers: 65 minutes

Service no: 700A
Bus stop: Whitley Rd
Direction: Towards Bt Panjang Int
Next bus that will pick up passengers: Arriving
Subsequent bus that will pick up passengers: 40 minutes

Service no: 960
Bus stop: Whitley Rd
Direction: Towards Woodlands Regional Int
Next bus that will pick up passengers: Arriving
Subsequent bus that will pick up passengers: 80 minutes

Chances of boarding Service 190 last bus from Whitley Rd = 20 %
Chances of boarding any Service NR3 bus from Whitley Rd = 100 %

** Thank you for travelling with SMRT **

Ok I want to blog about my work le... Enough of all these things which gonna make me have more heart attack..

And before I end this entry, what I wish to say to all my friends who live in SBST territory areas such as Bishan, Hougang & Tampines, you guys ought to be GRATEFUL and FORTUNATE to have SBS Transit services serving your neighborhood area..

Unfortunate people like me and those who live in SMRT Territory areas especially Woodlands, Bt Panjang and Choa Chu Kang, good luck to all of us here with the ex-Metro CEO being in this transport industry, and screwed up its buses and train services, especially in the area of buses.. Be grateful that you are able to squeeze onto a SMRT bus especially Service 190 and 960..

Feeling much more better now..

Thanks to Ben (for sending me the worship song which I have requested from him..), XY (for lunch & talking over some matters in the Funan IT Mall Foodcourt), Quan Han (for accompanying me for dinner and comforted me over this morning's unpleasant thing), and Raymond (for inviting both Quan Han & myself to play DOTA with his friends at opp Paradiz Centre...

Just came back a while ago from Bugis.. Feeling much more better right now after Quan Han refer me to this particular verse from the Bible.. (2 Kings 5:17-19)

2 Kings 5:17 to 2 Kings 5:19 says that:

So Naaman said, “Then, if not, please let your servant be given two mule-loads of earth; for your servant will no longer offer either burnt offering or sacrifice to other gods, but to the LORD.

Yet in this thing may the LORD pardon your servant: when my master goes into the temple of Rimmon to worship there, and he leans on my hand, and I bow down in the temple of Rimmon—when I bow down in the temple of Rimmon, may the LORD please pardon your servant in this thing.”

Then he said to him, “Go in peace.” So he departed from him a short distance.

I find that from these 3 verses, it is very related to me, and I believe if the Bible says this way, all the more why should I worry about my similar incident? I should just do it with faith...

5:36 PM

Feeling rather uneasy...

Sigh....

Sorry ppl I have not been updating my blog for the past few weeks... Due to my busy schedule that I have... And also I actually wanted to blog about a lot of past things which I haven been blogging about, but..... After this morning's unpleasant thing happening to me, I don't think I have the mood to go and blog about all these for the time being...

Just reached National Library (my usual peaceful and quiet place to blog without parents' distractions) at about 5:30pm.. Was meeting with XY just now at City Hall at 1pm for lunch at Funan IT Mall Foodcourt.. After we finished our lunch, we sat inside there to really talk about various stuffs, from JAE to buses to church and keep rotating around.. When he told me how he is going to celebrate CNY this year differently, I was rather feeling uneasy (actually is right from the morning when the unpleasant thing happened to me..) but somehow after I expressed everything to him, I feel a bit better at least..

After that at around 4pm, he brought me in to his church at St. Andrews Cathedral which is very near Funan IT Mall and next to City Hall MRT Station to look around.. And after that got to chat with 1 of the people inside the Welcome Centre that XY knows before he made his way to Sim Lim Square to settle some stuff whereas I came to National Library to blog and then meeting Quan Han (my CG leader) later for dinner 6:30pm at City Hall and talk to him over this morning's unpleasant thing..

The unpleasant thing goes this way...

At around 10am++, I already have a bad feeling that I have to hold the joss stick and pay respect to my grandma in front of the alter, because of all the food that my mum had prepared and placing it in front of the alter.. I was rather feeling uneasy and I starting not to have the mood to do anything...

In the end, at 11am++, my parents asked me to come all the way out to the living room where my grandma's alter is and then hold the joss stick and pay respect... It's not the fact that I don't want to pay respect to my late grandma you see, it's the fact that I am already self-declared that I am a Christian and I already choose to believe in 1 and only God, who is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ.. And the thing which my parents asked me to do, it's like even if God doesn't feel uneasy, I myself personally would still feel very uneasy.. And after that I was like stoning inside my own room in front of my laptop... Then I feel the call from the God that I should listen to this particular worship song which my church has sung it before during worship.. The song title is called "So You Would Come" that is sang by Hillsongs.. (Thanks to Ben aka SBS9888Y in SGF for this song which I requested from him...)

The 1st portion of the lyrics says that:

Before the world began
You were on His mind
And every tear you cry
Is precious in His eyes
Because of His great love
He gave His only Son
Everything was done
So you would come

My tears just went down my cheeks when I am stoning inside my room in front of my laptop.. The reason that I cried just now, is I really want to show my love for Him, for that He loves all of us so greatly, that he gave his only Son (i.e Jesus Christ) to die on the cross for all of us, to cleanse us with His blood and bear all the sins for all of us here..

The 2nd portion of the lyrics says that:

Nothing you can do
Could make Him love you more
And nothing that you've done
Could make Him close the door
Because of His great love
He gave His only Son
Everything was done
So you would come

Even if all the things that I shouldn't do like just now in the morning, even if I have done so, I believe in faith that He would not close the door for me, because of His great love for all of us here...

And the chorus says that:

Come to the Father
Though your gift is small
Broken hearts, broken lives
He will take them all
The power of the Word
The power of His blood
Everything was done
So you would come

And I felt the call of the God to come back to Him, although I may have broken hearts and/or lives, that He will take them all.. I believe in faith that with the power of the Word and His blood, that my current situations will improve, and in the near future for all the breakthroughs that I will experience it..
