Damn tired.. Really need a break off man.. Haiz..

Haiz.. Lately my mood has been turning from bad to worst.. Oh victor oh.. Where's the happy Victor that he used to be? Haiz.. These few days I have been doing my self-reflection and I don't seem to get along with my life well..

Yesterday, supposed to work from 12:30pm to 4:30pm one, was extended again from 6pm to 10pm, meaning i worked 8 hours for yesterday. Yesterday one was pretty a rushing one.. My 1st time working in such a hell lot of customers environment and everything has to be very fast and smooth.. Afternoon peak period, it was still okay for me, as in still can cope quite okay.Haiz..

Afternoon peak period, it was still okay for me, as in still can cope quite okay, but not the evening peak period.. That one all of us (especially the runners and host) have to carry along 1 walkie talkie each for faster and easier communications.. Also my 1st time using the walkie talkie, okay la.. Not that tough to use actually, but just that we have to be alert in whatever things are being announced..

I was only released from work at about 10:50pm (close to 11pm) because after 10pm still need to busy clear up the tables and ensure that the conditions are good.. Already pretty tired from there already.. Went back to Bishan Int to catch the last few buses of Service 57 (since this service came first, with alternatives of Service 56 also but that one will make a bigger loop around Bishan St 13 and 11 first before proceeding towards Toa Payoh.) to Jln Toa Payoh and waited quite for a long time as usual for Service 966.. Reached home at around 11:50pm (actually I can reached home about 10 minutes earlier, but..... Really... Sometimes I just don't have the mood to even go home... So drag my time walking back lo... Haiz..)

Later on for today, I still need to go over to Kallang there for the helping out for the SKD tournament, meeting the rest of the helpers 12:45pm at Kallang MRT Station.. To think I even slept quite late yesterday as usual, and until now I'm still quite tired but no mood to sleep.. So......

*** Peace out ***

12:58 AM

Pissed.. Something just not right for me..

Just a while ago when i was bathing, my brother went to my laptop and click undo to delete all the photos that i took today.. Damn it.. I was already in a angry mood after bathing (mum scolded me) and this kind of thing appear to me.. Was trying very hard not to shout and scold damn loud at him... Luckily i have Isaac to help me with the photo recovery in the memory disk, else.. my mood will be worst than that..

Haiz.. These few days, something's just not right for me.. I realised that for the past few days, i have made people feel irritated, made people going to lose trust in me, made people angry, being late for a lot of events especially TKD and Wushu training.. It's not the usual Victor Lim that I'm now.. Just what the fuck I'm doing these days man.. Haiz.. Can anyone enlighten me with that?

It's only 18 days from now to the starting of the new school term.. Year 2 le.. Means more things to do and more stress as well.. Have to finish the CE point thing and the PP (Professional Profiling) by the end of Year 2 so as not to have a ever harder life when comes to Year 3 with FYP (Final-Year Project).. Which means a few days from now i have to start chiong-ing for all these especially the PP, because it requires more work to be done, and I'm also looking forward to the day which i can do presentations very well and professionally in front of a group of people.. But before that, I have to keep on practicing my presentation skills daily through the "1 day 1 problem" PBL way.. End of Year 1 le my skills still very suck thumb.. Damn damn lousy.. Damn un-professional.. I really wanted to be able to speak very confidently in front of people and not to be afraid of any objections that i faced.. Although the modules in Year 2 for DBC (Diploma in Business Computing) are all IT-based, but what i must tell myself is that, as a business student (although not pure business based..), I must be able to discipline myself, to train myself to present myself with full of confidence, and to be able to do things in a professional way, and not to forget that I must be able to dress smart whenever required.. 1 thing I learned in VE.. "Dress smart for success". To be able to succeed, the first thing that is required by myself is to be serious whenever there's a need to when doing certain things.. And of course some other factors which are to be included as well..

As for this PP, I'm still wondering whether which company should i go and interview and after that do up a solid presentation for the PP.. Need to interview quite a lot of things for a particular industry, so on and so for.. Haiz.. I guess, when the new school term starts, I have to be at least 50% prepared to do up the PP.. 18 days is all I have from now..

Time to update le..

Quite some time since my last updates..

Tuesday, 20th March 2007:
Me and Benjamin decided to go for a tour in the Sentosa to take photos of the places that are going to make way for the upcoming IR very soon.. On that day, we did not really took bus a lot, because we actually walked a lot more instead, and take photos more to the surrounding building/scenery shots.. I shall let the photos do more of the talking later on in below. (after this blog entry)

Wednesday, 21th March 2007:
This is the day which I started working at The Cafe Cartel (TCC in short) @ Junction 8 (Bishan). 1st day of working inside there.. Not bad through.. Time to learn something fresh for me.. Hence this F&B Industry.. Worked from 12pm to 4pm but before that I need to reach there at 11:30am for the briefing and to settle some stuffs.. Get to meet new friends down there.. 1st day of work initially the manager said today she guided me personally because shortage of people.. In the end, she asked Solomon to guide me along, so for the whole day, he would be the one guiding me what to do and what to say when customers asked questions.. A very nice and easy-going person.. =)

After work, as I was reaching Bishan Int, I saw the Nokia Bus (SBS2812L) turning out of Bishan Int, and guess what? It's Service 54 (saw the rear desto)! Was kinda shocked but when i boarded the bus at Bishan St 11 bus stop (as it goes 1 big loop along the inner part of Bishan St 11) and I don't know whether it's a good or a bad news for me, and to my bus enthusiast friends. It has the white sticker with handwritten "54" on it. (Means it's perm on Service 54 and no longer on Service 162 le..) Boarded and chatted with the BC for 1 whole trip to New Bridge Rd Terminal and took his bus all the way till Scotts Rd where I transfered to another bus back home..

Sad news because I did not even capture a single shot of SBS2812L during its Service 162 days..

Happy news because I can ride on that bus back home after work, but must depend on luck because this service does CLOWBUS (or jump bus for some who understand it through this phrase)

Thursday, 22th March 2007:
2nd day of work at TCC. Got more people to guide me through, and they are all very patience, kind and friendly.. At the same time, there's another newcomer working also and i happen to know more about him.. But still, I have to take quite some time to remember all your names.. =)

During lunch time, I happened to saw a young guy (age roughly the same as mine) with formal wear and a old lady.. From my mind I was already thinking whether that guy is from VE, and bingo! When I saw him taking out a small black box with the magnetic bracelet, immediately I saw the VE logo on the top of the black box.. Didn't think too much at that time because I was concentrating on my work instead at that time. Well.. It's better for me not to think too much of that already.. Haiz..

After work, i received sms-es that another Nokia Bus (SBS2779A) was cameo-ing on Service 156. So i waited until about 4:45pm (thanks to Malcolm for giving me the estimated time arrival of that bus arriving at opp Bishan MRT bus stop). Nice ride on that bus but it's damn packed fully with people until it reach Sengkang area.. After that took another bus back home..

Not bad not bad.. 1st 2 days of work at Bishan already I got 2 different Nokia buses to ferry me home.. =p But it will not be lucky everytime because the timing for the deployment of these few buses may changed..

Friday, 23th March 2007:
Last Friday.. In morning, I wanted to try my luck to pong on that TIB877U on Service 184 because I wanna do some checkout of the timing for the Service 975 morning crossover bendy. After got the timing everything when I pong on that TIB877U, I went back home first.. Went to Woodlands Regional Interchange after a while at home because I was quite sianz at home.. After that went back home again because Darren's coming to my house for some stuffs and preparation for the TKD grading at night. Close to evening time, both me and Darren made a trip down to SNWF (Singapore National Wushu Federation) to settle some stuffs there before we made our trip back to Blk 527 Jelapang Rd there for the TKD grading..

I was quite panic and nervous at first because I long time never do grading le.. Then when it's my turn, I did until halfway and then all of a sudden I panicked and forgotten the next few steps of Tekken 4.. In the end, me and another fella were told to move aside and practice first 1 more time.. And finally, I managed to do it again correctly, with the sparring also.

Went with Darren after that for dinner at Greenridge before we headed back home..

Saturday, 24th March 2007 - Monday, 26th March 2007
From Last Saturday to last Monday (3 days consecutively), I have been going to Sentosa like mad with my friends.. Saturday is with some of my bus enthusiast friends like ZP they all.. Sunday is with 2 of my bus enthusiast juniors and later on at night went to have dinner together with Bing He and his 2 friends.. Monday is go alone but later on Bing He came to look for me in the afternoon. Dinner settled at outside for all 3 days.. Shall let the photo do more talking later on..

Tuesday, 27th March 2007:
Yesterday, nothing much.. As usual, afternoon I went out for some spotting and in the end, i saw a B9TL and a Trident on Service 74 (1 after another bus) and went to Marymount to catch it in the end.. The trident reached Buona Vista Terminal at about 5:20pm, me and Bing He was waiting all the way until after 6:20pm and it still don't want to come out.. EDS kept on switching on and off as seen from far. Damn fed-up, and we took the next 106 bus down and i transfer to Service 184.. Night time went for TKD training.. As usual, I was late for training lolx..

Wednesday, 28th March 2007:
As usual working at J8.. Nothing much happening.. Only the thing is that we encountered a group of nasty customers who act as if they were some queens of *t00t* and when i asked them how many forks they wanted, 1 of them demand me and said "Don't know how to count yourself mehz?" in a very nasty tone.. How would they expect me to know exactly forks do they really need.. Nevermind.. Our manager told us that usually this kind of nasty attitude situations when managers approached them, those customers they somehow automatically will keep quiet one, and asked us not to worry too much.. =) What a good manager that we have.. =)

After work, very sianz.. Wanted to try luck for Nokia bus (either Service 54 or 156) but no luck.. Sianz.. Then took another service back home lo..

At night training as usual.. Nothing much except i got my 2nd black tip for San Shou.. After training went to BPJ Plaza with Darren for a light dinner before we headed back home..

3:54 AM

I WANT TO STEP OUT OF SINGAPORE!!

Sorry ppl.. These few days i no mood to talk about event all these things.. Will post it when my mood is up..

Now time is 3:55am on my laptop.. Later on i still have Wushu training where i have to teach those kids again.. And now i still typing my keyboard in front of my screen..

Chatting with 1 of my junior, Wei Chuen, on MSN.. until now.. Seriously.. These few days i really can't sleep well.. Don't know why.. Probably i suffered from isnomia? Who knows.. Haiz..

Was chatting until the overseas part.. And my mood, being so damn bad now, and my spirit is like adding kerosene to the fire.. Damn it.. For the past 18 - 19 years i have been staying all along in Singapore, NEVER even step out of Singapore BEFORE!! Don't count all the offshore islands in Singapore.. What the fuck is this? Where's my FREEDOM?!! I WANT MY FREEDOM?!! Even my sister.. Since Sec 1, she was allowed to go for the Malacca field trip in Malaysia.. Why not me?!? She can go for the Mt Ophir trip in Malaysia.. Why not ME?!?

Until now, i don't even have a passport.. From last year my dad has been saying about the passport thing and till now still haven made yet.. 1 fine day when i get my pay (cos i work in The Cafe Cartel @ Junction 8), the next thing i go to is the ICA building.. Everything settle myself.. Telling my parents is just a waste of time and delay.. This cannot that cannot.. I don't want this kind of ANSWERS.. Everything i just have to depend on my own.. Have to learn how to be INDEPENDENT.. Do things in my own way.. I can't stand it living in this world with lots of RESTRICTIONS.. Everyone of us only have 1 chance of living in this world, and we are supposed to make full use of ourselves to the fullest, and to leave this world with NO regrets.. Same goes for me.. I don't want to leave this world FULL of REGRETS because of all these damn RESTRICTIONS!! I also hope that i can live in this world for infinity years but i guess this is impossible.. The fact that i have buses as my hobby, partly is also because it allows me to have more opportunities to explore more of the outside world rather than just remaining in my comfort zone and rot! The fact that i joined Venture Era is also partly because of that! Although i faced a lot a lot of obstacles and rejections in it, but at least i TRIED (although i admit it's not to my best that i can).

Time now is 4:38am when i finish writing this sentence.. Still don't have the mood to sleep.. Haiz.. I have finished what i'm going to say.. Peace out..

Talking about NPCC.. (ZSS)

Just had a chat over MSN with Miss Kuek just now.. Feeling more upset after that, not because they are not treating us well, but rather, it all lies with my batch of cadets also, including myself..

Yes.. I have to admit that i commit some mistakes in the past, and some were even till the extent of making my OC (at that time) very angry.. The mistakes that i did can never be forgotten, reason being, i want it to be a lesson to be taught, and not to make any silly mistakes that make people angry.. Yes, i admit that i am still a blur person until now, do things also like blur blur, den stupid mistakes also can come out from me..

That was on my part in NPCC both as a cadet / (NCO) and as the Head of Admin Dept..

Now i just feel like I'm leaving a very damn bad impression for all the TOs when i stepped down from ZSS NPCC after all the stupid things i committed in the past... Look at my sister, and me. It's just like 1 heaven and 1 hell, needless to say i fall in which category (the latter one)...

Taking about POP (Passing-Out Parade), Miss Kuek help me to ask Mr Andy Koh (our OC at that time) why only our batch got no POP (whereas for all my seniors and juniors all do have it.) Well.. and the reply is 'because the batch CMI, so no POP'. After hearing this, I kinda feel very upset about it, and at the same time, to reflect back on the past, sometimes i feel that we (as a batch of cohort of cadets) are also to be blame.. Look at the spirit that we have.. I Don't think it's good as compared both to our senior and junior batch.. Very slacking also i can say.. What makes me feel more upset is that Miss Kuek told me this: 'POP is MOST IMPORTANT thing in a cadet's life', and our batch don't even deserve it.. Well, i just feel that my batch is the worst of the worst among all the other batches of cadets so far throughout this whole NPCC in Zhenghua, and i just feel our batch is the most useless ones among all.. For all the things that we did in the past, for all the things that we have performed in the past.. For all the things that we have contributed in the past.. A lot a lot more.. Haiz.. If our batch don't even have (or should i say 'deserve' instead) POP, this really shows that ..................................

Well, having say so much things above, i have to say that what's done cannot be undone le, and it's like already for more than a year since we stepped down from NPCC due to O'Levels.. I'm really glad that my junior batch of cadets really have a better life in Zhenghua NPCC, and i hope for the next few batches of cadets that came in to Zhenghua NPCC, they will learn from the lessons that our batch had gone through and not to repeat the same mistakes that we ever had.. Shall end my blogging here for now.. I have something else on later on..

Memories of the past.. Will never be forgotten..

Was browsing through some of my secondary sch friends' friendster.. Lots of memories went through my mind when viewing the photos.. Those were the good old memories of us being together as 1 class, together as 1 group.. I have added some of the photos in the lower right section of my blog.. Hmmm...

As for NPCC, i don't feel like mentioning anything about it. Happened to browse thru 1 of my junior's (Winifred) friendster. By right ah, i should be happy looking thru her NPCC photos, but then to be frank, i felt 101% regretted + upset.. Haiz.. No sense of happiness at all.. Damn sad.. Don't ask me why.. I just feel that out of so MANY batches of cadets (my sister 1st batch, my junior 3rd 4th etc etc batches), our batch is the one who our officers (TOs) neglected us a lot.. It's like they don't really give a damn to our batch lo.. And by seeing the NPCC Guard-of-Honour's uniform (the white most prestigious one), it really make me feeling more upset and being neglected.. Yes.. I admitted that the unit size of our batch of cadets fall quite a lot throughout the 1st 2 years (2001 - 2002) especially, but is this the way they treated us?!? The privileges everything all mostly my junior and senior batch of cadets kena.. Why is it just not us to get all these privileges?? Tell me tell me!!! Sobx.. Our batch also damn sway... Got SYF everything also both my senior and junior batch kena it.. I just feel that those (teacher) officers neglected us damn a lot.. That's WHY EVEN IF THE OFFICERS OFFERED ME TO GO BACK TO ZHENGHUA SEC TO BECOME A CADET INSPECTOR, I WILL REJECT IT!! WHAT FOR GOING BACK TO SERVE THEM WHEN THEY DON'T TREAT US WELL IN THE 1st PLACE?!? I don't feel the sense of belonging to Zhenghua Sec NPCC.. I shall not pin point which officer treated us badly in what specific ways, else this blog entry will become more longer for each officers i write about.. Haiz.. Now time is 5:03am when i write this sentence.. Still don't feel like sleeping.. Maybe later go rest my eyes for a while before go for breakfast and training..

Peace out.....

Victor Lim

2:40 AM

Don't feel like sleeping..

Don't feel like sleeping at this hour.. Don't feel tired.. Just now flip here and there on my bed with mp3 on i also cannot sleep.. Argh..

For the past few days quite sianz for me la.. Nothing much to talk about..

Went for job interview at Junction 8 @ Bishan in Cafe Cartel.. After interview, have to wait for call..

Yesterday (Saturday, 17th March 2007), went with Bing He initially for Service 608, but later on went to meet up with Jack they all instead for lunch.. After which the rest of them went to Sentosa for the Green Line (before it's gone for good) while me and Bing He went for Service 64 B9 (SBS7324X) ride as we have something else on later on in the afternoon and not wanting to waste the $3 for just a while.. Yay.. Finally, all the DD services that are controlled by Hougang kena B9 le.. HGDEP completed le..

Have a nice talk cock session with the "Singh" driver (BC). BC told me it's not the 1st time Service 64 kena B9 as he has drove SBS7411C a few days back as requested from HGDEP.. Power ah him, i like it man.. Lolx.. Took that B9 from bus stop opposite Redhill MRT Station, for a loop at Mei Ling St and Bing He alighted back at Redhill MRT Station becuase he needs to rush off for something whereas i took until MacPherson Rd before i headed back to Bt Panjang for Wushu training at 4pm.. (in the end also late, 4:30pm then reach there) As for Kenny, he camped at the bus stop after Dohby Ghaut MRT Station there to wait for the B9, and the 3 of us talk cock for a while before the BC asked the 2 of us to go up, sit down and enjoy the ride..

After training, i went back home for dinner and use my laptop as usual for a while before i went to Soon Teck's house (which is right across my block through Bt Panjang Rd) for discussing poly stuff and some chit chatting session from 9:40pm till about 11:40pm.. Went back home and continue to use laptop until about 2 plus in the morning and i tried to sleep but it just failed for me..

This coming Friday night shall be the TKD grading le.. Still need to revise through a bit for Tekken 2 to 4 before I'm 100% fully prepared for the coming grading to promote to Blue belt..

Also, Wushu grading is also coming very soon le.. Forgot is this coming Wednesday or next coming Wednesday le.. Damn fast.. Although I (together with Darren, wk, Bernard, Sebastian they all) went through different belt level system (which doesn't require us to be tested for pattern until we hit black belt level, but will test some other stuffs), but i still need to get myself prepared for it.. Hmm.. Me only 1 black tip level.. Still got about 3-4 more levels to go before hitting black belt...

This coming 31th March 2007 our SKD's going to organize a friendly tournament kickboxing and TKD. As usual, i shall be 1 of the helpers for this event (sir even said that I'm a old bird in this kind of event lolx). Some of them like Darren, Wan Sin they all are taking part in this coming friendly tournament. All the best to them for this coming tournament! ^^ Sir also mentioned that there will also be another tournamant in this coming June.. For that, I told sir that i may take part for that tournament if i feel that I'm prepared for it..

Also, this coming 22th April 2007 (Sunday), Darren and me are supposed to perform a sparing demonstration for people to watch at Blk 527 that "used to be a basketball court" place.. Hmmm.. I did not have any experience for performing demonstrations one.. Lolx.. There will always be a first time in everything i do.. Even for photography, my 1st time shooting event shots, somemore it's a damn grand event which is the International PBL Symposium 2007 held at Republic Polytechnic, Singapore, whereby lots of overseas delegates came and learn things.

These few days down the road, i will be busying whacking CSS Service 608, Green Line for Sentosa OLD buses (OF1417 and LO2x), the Matriculation period, and hopefully i can start work at The Cafe Cartel at J8 ASAP.. ^^

Okay shall end it here for now.. I got to do some other stuff before i go for the Sunday Wushu training in the morning at 10am.. Cya guys around.. Take care ppl!~

2:54 PM

My thoughts..

These few weeks although no work, but with all the activities i have for the past few weeks, i don't even have time to share my thoughts, what i have in mind..

Well, these are some of the thoughts that went through in my mind..
1) My brother (Eugene)
2) Health conscious?
3) To stay on or to give up?
4) Money, expenses, savings...
5) Plans and wishes...
6) Whether to put back my tagboard on my blog or not?
7) CSS Service 608 to be withdrawn on April Fool day. (1st April 2007)

1) My brother (Eugene)
Well, for the past few weeks, he has been suffering from skin problem as he has consumed seafood during the CNY, and he's found to be alergic to seafood. It's good that the situation for him has slowly recovered bit by bit each day.. I also find that he don't know when to control his AP (attitude problem).. Sometimes, i find that his AP has just gone way too much, even reached to the extent that he tried to use money to hurt their feelings, that's &^%$#(@#%#!!! Purposely ask them to buy something for him and in the end he purposely said he don't want to use. What is this man?!? I have tried to talk to my brother but well, ultimately, it's still his decision whether he wants to change himself or not, just hope that he does it for his own good..

2) Health conscious?
For the past few weeks, i found that i have been having lunch and dinner at fast food restruants most of the time when i'm outside. Well, to think back, actually having too much of these causes harm to me, and in terms of varieties wise, i feel like i'm only restricting myself to fast food and no other else.. Sports wise, i find that i also did not play bball for quite a long time le.. Gone were the days when i went to "6 head" to play bball almost every Saturday morning. Will it ever come back to me again? Haiz.. But not to worry too much because i also have Wushu and TKD as sports, and of course, chasing after cameo buses for photos and rides like mad (and normal SMRT Buses too all thanks to its "EXCELLENT" and "WONDERFUL" frequency that they have especially on Sundays when services such as Service 184 has only 5 buses running like mad in the night!!). As for bball, i will try my best as much as possible to set a routine for it (i.e on every which day morning go play bball)

3) To stay on or to give up?
Well, i think you should know what i'm refering to.. Although the company progresses very well (even to the extent that they have shifted from Robinson Point to somewhere in Eunos area which is much more bigger), but did i really progress along well? My answer is NO.. Well, i think that i should leave this aside first and concentrate on something which i feel it's better for me to do so.. This kind of industry, although it's proven to be a successful one, but IMO, not everyone in this world can really make it.. It's all depend on oneself whether he/she can make it in this industry or not..

Not to forget that i wish to thank all the people in VE who have helped me all these while when i'm inside there, making friends there, knowing more people there, and most importantly is that at least i learn a lot of things over there which can't be taught in classrooms.. At least i managed to gain more exposures and experiences in the various kinds/types of industries in Singapore.. ^^

4) Money, expenses, savings...
Lately i have been spending a lot of money on various expenses (that includes the Class 3 driving license that i took up secretly). Well, although my parents still do give me money during the holidays, i think that i still need to control my expenses well, and not to overspend it.. At least save up some money out of it for my driving license expenses.. Somemore now i never work, unlike some of my friends who have been working at least for this holiday.. That brings it to the next point i'm going to talk about below..

5) Plans and wishes...
Well, i think it's time for me to set aside some plans and wishes for myself.. If not i feel like i do not have a target for myself to achieve and hence not gaining the sense of achievement i have set for myself. The following wishes (stated on the right hand side of my blog) and plans are to:

- Set aside some time for bball
- Take photos & rides of CSS Service 608 for the last few times before it entered into our History Textbook from 1st April 2007.
- Organize more class gatherings especially for my Sec 5Ns classmates and friends
- Faster find part time (flexible schedule) job and earn $$$
- Control my own expenses and savings well (which i have not done so since after Primary 6)
- Having more exposure to photography..
- Get at least a straight Bs for all my 2nd year modules in RP. (Those modules which have the potential of scoring As, i will aim for it!)
- Be actively involved in various outdoor activities especially in RP so as to have fun, excitment, most importantly get to know and make more friends.
- Faster pass my Basic Theory Test (Class 3) so that i can proceed on to practical (for practice) and to proceed with my Final Theory Test!

6) Whether to put back my tagboard on my blog or not?
Well, good question i have asked myself.. Unless i don't see the comments in my tagboard flooding with the same person all the time (you know who you are), else, i think i can forget about having my tagboard on my blog. -_-"

7) CSS Service 608 to be withdrawn on April Fool day. (1st April 2007)
Well, this nightmare news has been going around for the past few weeks since its press release both on SMRTB website and through posters along the bus stops which serve CSS Service 608, at least to the bus enthusiasts community like me. Well, seriously IMO, the demands for this service is NOT convincing for me to think that this service should be withdrawn. Hell lots of people, especially those living in the vicinity that CSS Service 608 serves, even to the extent of writing and publishing in newspaper forums, and now worst.. Going to the extent of asking the members of the public to endorse the "Consider on the withdrawal of CSS Sv 608(SMRT Buses Singapore) Petition to SMRT Buses (Singapore)." in this website:

http://www.petitiononline.com/css194m/petition.html

The withdrawal of CSS Service 608 issue has caused a lot of inconveniences and arouse great unhappiness to the members of the public, not to mentioned the bus enthusiasts community like me. Well, i can see that despite SMRT Buses has been giving crappy reply (full of excuses!) with regards to the withdrawal of CSS Service 608 in STOMP, both the members of the public and the bus enthusiasts community, have been putting in a lot of our effort to persuade its sister company, SMRT Buses, to consider the withdrawal of Singapore's very last CSS Service 608.

Well, we shall see how it goes first until this coming 1st April 2007. I believe SMRT Buses don't make this a April Fool joke bahz.. Haiz.. Looks like this CSS (City Shuttle Services) will be entering into our History Textbooks very very soon.. Counting down 19 days from today.. Those who wish to get a "soon to be nostaglic" photos of the Orange lively livery CSS buses, please do so ASAP before 31st March 2007.. Peace out............

Well, it has been for a very very long time since i last updated my blog, which is during the Chingay 2007 period.. All thanks to my laptop which undergone about 1 week of repair at Acer Service Center at IBP (International Business Park), and also about 1 week to finish settle the reformatting of my laptop at RP IT Helpdesk, and probably another few more days due to my busy schedule..

Now.. Shall list out the events which i'm gonna blog over here (for the past few weeks that was happening for me). These are:

Sat, 24th Feb: Chingay Parade 2007, actual one with president coming.
For the actual day i find it more better, in a sense that since the security is more strict, unlike Friday one which is not that strict and some people just take advantage in a way or another, and me, Hong Sheng and Yiling have to deal with all these people, because on Friday there's another "side" gate open at our side, but this actual day no more, so we can sit down and enjoy the show. =P

It actually ends quite early for actual day (between 9:30pm to 10pm) (unlike Friday's one which is later than that because the actual day has the dunno what hip hop dance then we can go off le.. So, while Yiling and Hong Sheng made a move first because they wanted to go home, me, together with the rest of them, went to PastaMania at Cineleisure for our dinner. From there, i got to know more friends from the ALC members, and we ate, we drank, we talked, we take photo (actually is Alan take photo one.. lolx..) and we took the train home together after that as i also almost cannot catch my last svc 190, 700A, or even the lenghty svc 171, so i don't take the risk and followed them to Somerset MRT Station and took train all the way back..

Top 2 photos are © Alan using his HP cam..
The rest (3 of them) are © Victor Lim.. (decided to post only 3 out of so many pixs i took because this blog entry is already damn long enough le..)

Sun, 25th Feb: Jack's birthday celebration at his house. (Mahjong time!!)
Went to his house on that day for his birthday celebration, and together with some bus enthusiasts friends, we ate, we drank, we chatted, we help to clear guides as many as possible (actually is Mal wanna clear one lolx..), and at last, MAHJONG time for us!! Had a lot of fun playing mahjong.. and that's all for the day!! ^^

It's on this day that DRC gave me a lot of advices for taking up Class 3 driving licence.. And so after that, the next day, i went to BBDC to go find out first and register after that.. thanks DRC! ^^

Mon, 26th Feb: Went to BBDC to register for driving licence (Class 3, Private)
Went to BBDC to enquire for a few things before i went on to register for Class 3 driving licence, but i'm taking private.. Lolx.. Didn't want my parents to know about it first because i don't wish to further burden their expenses.. Just wish to settle the amount of money for my driving license myself.. After registering, I went on to top up my account (every BBDC students has their own account in which they would top up the money inside and settle online booking payments) and after that to the information counter to take my queue for purchasing the Basic Theory book. (The green colour one)

Tue, 27th Feb: Sent my laptop for repairing at Acer Service Centre; SBS9888Y on Service 161!
Went to Acer Service Centre at IBP (International Business Park) to send my laptop for repairing works.. Keep on giving me blue screens and cannot boot up my laptop.. (but before that i got backup my files) After telling the acer staff that about my problems, he asked me to come back after 5 working days (which is 1 weeks later) to collect back my laptop while it's being sent for repairing works.

After receiving news of SBS9888Y on SBST Service 161, I went on to Hougang to catch it and took it for 1 full trip to Woodlands Regional Interchange and then made my way back home..

SBS9888Y on Service 161, special thanks to Kenny for allowing me to post it on my blog. ^^

Thu, 1st Mar: Retreat (and rehearsal) for International PBL Symposium 2007; Went to buy tripod @ Peninsula Plaza.
Went for the retreat at RP with Wan Ning and Gui Xiang.. Although quite sianz for us but it's still essential for us for the actual day which is from 7th to 9th March 2007. After that Gui Xiang went home while Wan Ning and me went to Peninsula Plaza for tripod..

Reached Peninsula Plaza le we went to look around, and there's a guy who offered a tripod at around $60++ (when other stores sell cheaper), and even decided to open a student price for us, and the price is like $42 lo.. What a cheater.. and we went out after that.. lolx..

Finally came to the store which Gui Xiang recommended us and i bought the tripod there..
Went home after that.. To find out that there's some problem with the tripod.. So the next day i made a trip down again to exchange.. Lolx..

Fri, 2nd Mar: Job Interview at Aljunied (Motorolla); Went to BBDC to change booking date for my Basic Theory Practice (BTP); Went back to Peninsula Plaza to exchange my tripod; Went for movie, dinner and arcade at Plaza Singapura.
Went for job interview at the Motorolla there as what Wan Ning intro me.. After that a malay guy interviewed me and then because of my tight schedule for this whole week (because the IT show at Suntec also happened within this week/period), i was told to wait for his phone call instead because he had to give priorities to those who can make it..

After that went to see how Kenny's dad look like, so i asked him what his drove on that day and i shall try my luck on SBST service 62.. In the end, SBS997A (the 1 and only longest bus SBST has, with about 14.5 metres in length) came instead, and i took it for a few stops.. Surprising at close to noon time, i can still see that (normally it did 1 trip early and in evening peak and it went off service after that).. After that the next bus is his dad's bus, and i sit behind and observe how he drove... The trip was indeed very smooth, and i can see that he's very cheerful.. Smile and talked to those passengers who talk to him..

Went to Hougang Central Interchange as i received news about SBST Service 161 B9 testing at Woodlands Regional Interchange whether the verdict of its wheelchair thing pass or not.. In the end, good news, the BC told me it's actually PASSED!! Which means very soon Service 161 regular passengers can get to enjoy the smooth ride on a B9 WAB along the expressways le.. (SLE, TPE).

After that went back to Peninsula Plaza there for my tripod problem, and the lady actually 1-to-1 exchange the tripod for me..

And at last, i met up with Jack, ZP and Kenny at Plaza Singapura for dinner and movie (Just Follow Law) and also arcade before we went home.. The movie damn funny and nice.. ^^

Sun, 4th Mar: Ride on Service 925C before it cut back to a shorter route next coming Sunday; 2 Dinner, 1 with family and 1 with my friends. (and go friend's house play..)
Went for SMRTB Service 925C for a full trip because after that it's going to change back to the old and shorter route le.. This will be my 1st and last time having this long ride which passes by Lim Chu Kang Road le..

After that went back for dinner with my family at Bt Panjang Plaza before i went for another round of dinner and Lo Hei Session with my friends at Fajar Shopping Centre (The Kim San Leng Seafood there), pretty fun i can say.. ^^

Went on to Wei Kang's house for watching a damn funny movie that he has and also play poker cards until about 12 plus before we went back home..

Tue, 6th Mar: BTP @ BBDC; Time to collect back my laptop at Acer Service Centre! ; Nissan Diesel (UD) on Service 75!
Went for BTP @ BBDC.. In the end i got 42/50 which is also a fail, because 90% is the passing mark.. Lucky it's only a practice and not the actual test (which is on 17th April 2007 for me).

After that went to Jurong East the entertainment centre for lunch @ KFC before i went to collect back my laptop at Acer Service Centre.

Evening time, just when i was on my way for TKD training at Senja, i saw a Nissan UD bus parking at Bt Panjang Bus Interchange. Went on to check it out and found out to have the rear desto of Service 75! Went to ride on that Nissan UD for 2 stops at Petir Rd before i headed back to Senja for training. After training and went to Derek's house for a while with Darren, i asked my brother to bring down the DSLR camera and my tripod and took it from him at Pending LRT Station bus stop.. After that took bus to Petir Rd to camp for it until about 12:10am when the Nissan UD came back towards Bt Panjang Interchange before it went off service back to WLDEP..

Wed, 7th Mar: Went back to RP to refortmat my laptop; Service 42 Scanias!
Time for me to go back to RP to reformat my laptop so that everything is being set nicely and correctly according to RP needs..

After that received sms of SBST Service 42 Scanias and went for its photos and rides.. Dinner after that at Bedok Interchange MacDonald before i headed back home..

Thu, 8th Mar: International PBL Symposium 2007.
First time experiencing taking photos in an event.. Somemore this is RP's 1st very very major and international event which RP is being used as the hosting place for the annual International PBL Symposium, so all of us must put up a good show during these 3 days (7th to 9th March, but i onli came on 2nd and 3rd day for photos)

Hmm 1 thing add on here.. I did saw a familiar person in 1 of the many delegates, and that's Mdm Yeo S.L. Taught students Science in Zhenghua until around 2002 - 2003 before she transfered to another school.

Sorry no photos up on my blog for this because this kind of thing cannot anyhow post photos one..

Fri, 9th Mar: International PBL Symposium 2007.
Same thing, take photos, but this time we got to go home early because last day not so much stuffs le..

But after that upload photos to web i need to set aside a period of time for it le..

Nothing much to talk about lolx..

Sat, 10th Mar: Last day of SBST Service 274; IT Show 2007 @ Suntec, round 1; Sec 5Ns (2005) steamboat cum gathering at Marina South.
Went for SBST Service 274 in the morning.. Nothing much to talk about.. Only made me more fed-up because of the sunlight..

Afternoon went with my dad, Thiam Hee and Isaac for the IT Show 2007 at Suntec City Convention Centre, Levels 3 to 6. Very crowded as usual.. Bought the Seagate 2.5 HDD external dark disk drive (80GB) for my brother, and some other stuffs..

Went to meet up with my Sec 5Ns ppl at Marina Bay MRT Station.. In the end, from no late because very late.. All thanks to the Suntec City road jam as usual.. Took the shuttle bus back to City Hall MRT Station somemore.. Lazy ma.. What to do? Lolx.. In the end, Thiam Hee and me were still not the latest to arrive.. Min Wee, Wan Ling, Yee Bien, and Lay Qing came later than us because they also went for the IT Show.. Wahahaha!!

The attendances of people going were:
Victor (me)
Thiam Hee
Paul
Jia Keng
Lucas

Hui Yee
Xueli
Ai Zhen
Genevieve (came in later to find us straight over at the steamboat there)
Hui Xin
Wendy
Min Wee
Wan Ning
Lay Qing
Yee Bien

Had a lot of fun down there.. Split into 2 tables.. Lolx..

Eat.. Eat.. Eat.. Take photo.. Arcade.. Pool..

Went home after playing pool.. Lolx..

Checked IRIS and next svc 400 bus arriving at Marina Mall bus stop is 6 mins (SBS500A), and guess what, i didn't know that the subsequent bus after that which was arriving in 22 minutes (if not wrong) is the Volvo DM Mk 4 crossover from Service 186, until we were about to reach the bus stop opposite Marina Bay MRT Station then i saw it.. Damn it.. Lolx.. Should wait for the next bus instead ma.. Then can get good better bus.. Not everyday so good got one lolx.. Only every Fridays, Saturdays then would have good bus one, because only these 2 days of the week, the 1 and only Volvo DM Mk 4 bus of Service 186's fleets would crossover to Service 400 for about 4 trips at night before it went off service.. As usual, all passengers inside the bus alighted at the bus stop opposite Marina Bay MRT Station, and we took train back home..

Sun, 11th Mar: BMW (Bus MRT Walk) Amazing Race 2007 organized by the youth committee members of NorthWest CDC; IT Show 2007 @ Suntec, round 2.
Makes me fed-up when talking about this.. Lolx.. First thing in the morning the thing kena screwed up.. The staffs at Bt Panjang Plaza libary don't even know what's going on, and expect the leader to know.. Lolx.. Lucky i got Keith to ask for the task as he helped out in this BMW Amazing Race as well.. Well, don't wish to talk much about this.. Shall wait for Hafiz to blog and see his blog instead.. Lolx.. I'm sure this leader of ours is even more fed-up than us, just that he don't wish to show it out.. Lolx.. Outside of him seem okay but inside of his, it's already close to vocanic erruption le..

We were given 7 pit stops out of the 10++ places that's given inside the booklet.. For each pit stop, we were supposed to do tasks as instructed by the personels there, and the next pit stop to be given after we completed the tasks given by them.

So.. The 7 pit stops we were given are:
1) Bt Panjang Plaza (Level 4, Library)
2) IMM Building, Level 4
3) Woodlands Regional Library (Levels 2 and 3)
4) Holland Village (The windmill there)
5) Singapore Turf Club [we skipped from here because time is running out]
6) Not given, rush back straight to RP
7) Not given, rush back straight to RP

What a nice time they gave.. Start at 10am, waste time kena screwed up at least half an hour, and expect us to reach by 3:30pm, else kena disqualified..

But at least, we clinched the 26th position out of 40++ or 50++ teams..

Went for lunch cum dinner at Causeway Point, Level 7, Banquet with my teams..

After that, while the rest went for new SBST Service 5 and 175, i went with 2 of my bus enthusiast friends to Suntec City Convention Centre for the IT Show.. Helping my friend to buy something while they also went to look and buy something..

Dinner after that at Burger King @ Suntec City before heading back home..
